Overview<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment<\/strong> invites applications from unemployed South African youth<\/strong> for an entry-level Administration Clerk<\/strong> position in Travel Administration<\/strong>. This role is ideal for individuals with Grade 12<\/strong> and an interest in building a career in the public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Administer fruitless and wasteful expenditure<\/strong>, including managing records of no-shows and late cancellations<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Compile and distribute weekly lists of no-shows to relevant Deputy Director-Generals (DDGs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Verify travel and accommodation payments and maintain accurate documentation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Reconcile payment advice (BAS)<\/strong> with supplier statements<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Submit invoices to the appropriate supervisor and assist with financial reports<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Compile and consolidate weekly\/monthly reports<\/strong> on travel-related expenditures<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Assist in the reconciliation of reports between Finance<\/strong> and Determination Committees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Minimum Requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

–Grade 12 \/ Matric certificate<\/strong> (compulsory)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–No prior experience<\/strong> required<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-A post-matric qualification at NQF Level 5 or higher<\/strong> is advantageous<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Skills and Knowledge<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Familiarity with BAS (Basic Accounting System)<\/strong> and LOGIS (Logistical Information System)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Knowledge of financial and procurement policies and procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Understanding of relevant departmental prescripts<\/strong> and government protocols<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Good communication and attention to detail<\/p>\n\n\n\n
