This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of operating within a fast-paced retail environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Adhere to Dis-Chem\u2019s customer service policies and SOPs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Build and maintain professional relationships with customers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Handle customer complaints and compliments in accordance with procedures<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Stay informed about current sales, promotions, and in-store risks<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Operate the till accurately and manage cash flow responsibly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Authorise and process transactions including refunds and exchanges<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Process payments via cash, cards, loyalty programmes, and other accepted methods<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain till security and confidentiality of access codes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ensure that all items and scripts are scanned and paid for before leaving the store<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain secure handling and drop safe placement of cash<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Monitor and report any suspicious activity to store management<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Address customer queries regarding merchandise and services<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Follow Dis-Chem\u2019s communication and 5-star service standards<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Uphold all company security protocols and procedures<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong> Grade 12 \/ Matric<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong> Minimum of 6 months in cashier\/till operations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Skills:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Computer literate (MS Office)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong numerical and communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluent in English (verbal and written)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customer service orientation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Work Conditions:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Willing and able to work retail hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must have reliable transport and\/or live near store locations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be a South African citizen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear criminal and credit record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Core Competencies:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Accuracy and attention to detail<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Accountability and trustworthiness<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Problem-solving and time management<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Presentable with emotional and social awareness<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ability to operate cash registers and process various transactions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Advantageous:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fluency in a third language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prior experience in retail customer service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Remuneration &amp;
