This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about serving their country and ensuring the security and rehabilitation of inmates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain security and discipline within the prison facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Monitor and manage inmate activities to ensure compliance with prison rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Assist in rehabilitation programs for inmates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Provide support during emergencies within the facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Carry out duties as assigned in accordance with Botswana Prison Service standards and regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Required Qualifications and Selection Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong> Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) or equivalent, with a minimum of 34 points including credits in English and Mathematics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Selection Criteria:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aged between 18\u201330 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physically and mentally fit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have no adverse criminal record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be of good character.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum height requirements:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1.6 meters for males.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.55 meters for females.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Medical Aid:<\/strong> Contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50%, employee pays 50%).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pension Scheme:<\/strong> Contributory Pension Scheme for Permanent and Pensionable Staff (Government pays 15%, employee pays 5%).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Allowances:<\/strong> Prison Overtime Allowance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Utilities:<\/strong> Subsidized water and electricity bill.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Housing:<\/strong> Free accommodation provided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Leave:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>25 working days per annum for C3 scale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Training:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Successful candidates will undergo an <strong>Initial Prison Officers\u2019 Course<\/strong> and comprehensive induction training.
