class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Organization Overview<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), through its Subregional Office for Southern Africa (SFS), seeks a skilled <strong>Information Systems Expert<\/strong> to lead and implement the Agricultural Information Management System (AIMS) Component under the STOSAR II Project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>-Provide leadership and coordination for all aspects of Component 1 (AIMS) implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Plan, implement, and monitor AIMS activities to meet timelines and budgets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Integrate Livestock Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Early Warning Systems (EWS) with AIMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Oversee the design, development, and improvement of AIMS systems and modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Build partnerships with SADC Secretariat, government agencies, and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Conduct capacity-building initiatives, including training on business intelligence tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Facilitate data coordination activities, cloud migration, and dashboard enhancements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Manage technical issues, ensure system quality assurance, and support end-users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Organize and conduct workshops and technical support missions to SADC countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Produce comprehensive reports, training materials, and policy documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Minimum Qualifications<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Education<\/strong>: Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum 10 years in software development and system implementation, including web-based platforms (Java, NodeJS, PHP, C#, Python).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least 5 years of experience in SQL Server, MySQL, or MongoDB database management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven expertise in developing Agricultural Information Management Systems is a strong advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Language<\/strong>: Proficiency
