This role is pivotal in delivering excellent customer service at the point of sale, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for all customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Provide outstanding customer service in line with Dis-Chem&#8217;s policies and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Report customer feedback, including complaints and compliments, to the Frontline Supervisor or store management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Meet the prescribed customer turnover hourly rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Stay informed about current sales, promotions, and store offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ensure the safety and security of customers and colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Process all purchases, returns, and payments accurately using the Dis-Chem operating system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Handle merchandise exchanges and returns in line with company guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Safeguard cash and manage various payment methods, including loyalty card transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Report suspicious behavior or security concerns to management promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Address customer inquiries related to store merchandise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Adhere to all Dis-Chem security policies and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong> A Grade 12\/Matric certificate is required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong> A minimum of 6 months&#8217; experience in cashier or till operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Skills:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Proficiency in MS Office applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong numerical skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic customer service abilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Availability:<\/strong> Willingness and ability to work retail hours according to the store&#8217;s schedule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Proficiency in operating cash registers and managing cash drawers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ability to process sales, refunds, and payments efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Presentable appearance and strong interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Emotional intelligence, social awareness, and accountability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze basic reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Trustworthiness, honesty, and effective time management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications via the Dis-Chem Pharmacies careers page.
