African Horseback Safaris, a premier provider of exceptional horseback safari experiences in the Okavango Delta, Botswana, is seeking a highly qualified Operations Director<\/strong>. With nearly 30 years of expertise, African Horseback Safaris offers guests the opportunity to explore one of the world\u2019s most pristine and wildlife-rich environments on horseback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This senior leadership role requires a combination of business acumen, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of the equestrian world to manage and grow operations in the Okavango Delta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Lead, manage, and motivate a diverse team to provide an exceptional guest experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Oversee all operational aspects, including logistics, horse care, guest services, staff training, and safety protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure the smooth running of safari operations from planning to execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement long-term operational strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Uphold the highest standards of safety, ethics, and environmental sustainability in all aspects of the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ideal Candidate<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-A business degree or equivalent, combined with strong experience in operations management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Proven experience in equestrian management, with relevant qualifications or hands-on experience in horse care and handling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-A strategic thinker with the ability to lead a team and make key operational decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Experience in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with both guests and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-A passion for conservation, wildlife, and adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ability to thrive in a remote and challenging environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
