Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

FNB Insurance Brokers is seeking a skilled Accountant<\/strong> to join our finance team in Gaborone. The successful candidate will apply accounting principles<\/strong> to monitor financial data, prepare accurate financial statements, and ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)<\/strong>. This role requires a high level of financial expertise and a keen eye for detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts<\/strong> for business units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Establish and maintain professional relationships<\/strong> with internal and external stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure compliance with legislative, governance, and audit requirements<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Analyze financial information, identify variances, and provide solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Provide management reports<\/strong> highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure accurate updating of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)<\/strong> system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain and update fixed asset information<\/strong> in Oracle, Essbase, and HFM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct risk assessments<\/strong> and implement effective financial controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications & Experience<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

–Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting or Finance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Part-qualified BICA or ACCA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–BICA membership<\/strong> is mandatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–At least five (5) years<\/strong> of experience in a finance or accounting environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong business acumen<\/strong> and financial expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Excellent stakeholder management<\/strong> and communication skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong problem-solving and project management<\/strong> skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-High ethical standards and integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ability to analyze complex financial data and present meaningful insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
