Phakisa Holdings (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Code 14 Driver<\/strong> to join our team in Mamelodi. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently using a heavy-duty truck. The driver must adhere to all road safety regulations, maintain vehicle upkeep, and ensure timely deliveries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

–Driving and Delivery:<\/strong> Operate a Code 14 vehicle<\/strong> to transport goods, materials, or equipment to assigned locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Route Planning:<\/strong> Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes<\/strong>, optimizing fuel consumption while avoiding traffic delays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Vehicle Inspection:<\/strong> Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections<\/strong> to ensure the truck is in good working condition (checking brakes, tires, lights, and oil levels).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Regulatory Compliance:<\/strong> Adhere to all traffic laws, road regulations, and company safety protocols<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Documentation:<\/strong> Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection records, and fuel usage reports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Customer Service:<\/strong> Interact professionally with customers<\/strong> upon delivery to ensure satisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Loading and Unloading:<\/strong> Assist in the loading and securing of cargo<\/strong>, ensuring safe transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Vehicle Maintenance:<\/strong> Keep the truck clean and well-maintained<\/strong>, reporting any mechanical issues or damage immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Problem-Solving:<\/strong> Handle unexpected challenges such as road closures, vehicle malfunctions, or delays<\/strong> by finding suitable solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements & Skills<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

–Grade 12 (Matric) qualification<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Valid Code 14 driver\u2019s license<\/strong> with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Previous experience as a Code 14 driver<\/strong>, particularly operating heavy-duty trucks<\/strong>, is preferred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ability to effectively plan routes and manage delivery schedules<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Physically capable of loading and unloading cargo<\/strong>, as well as standing, lifting, and bending for extended periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong organizational and time-management skills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Good communication skills<\/strong> to interact with supervisors, colleagues, and customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Must reside in Mamelodi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
