Phakisa Holdings (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Code 14 Driver with Moffett Mounted Forklift experience<\/strong> to join our team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a heavy-duty truck<\/strong>, transporting goods safely, and loading\/unloading cargo using a Moffett mounted forklift<\/strong>. This role requires strict adherence to road safety regulations, company protocols, and customer service standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Driving & Transportation<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Operate a Code 14 truck<\/strong> with a manual or automatic transmission for safe and timely deliveries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Plan and follow the most efficient transport routes<\/strong> while adhering to safety regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct daily vehicle inspections<\/strong>, completing reports before departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or safety concerns<\/strong> to the Fleet Supervisor immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moffett Mounted Forklift Operations<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Safely operate a Moffett mounted forklift<\/strong> to load and unload cargo<\/strong> at customer sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure the proper handling and securing of materials<\/strong> to prevent damage during transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform regular maintenance checks<\/strong> on the forklift and report any mechanical issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safety & Compliance<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure full compliance<\/strong> with company policies, industry regulations, and road safety standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Secure and fasten loads according to safety protocols<\/strong> to prevent shifting during transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle and equipment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customer Interaction<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Provide excellent customer service<\/strong>, acting as a professional representative of the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Communicate delivery schedules and any potential delays<\/strong> with customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure that all deliveries are completed on time and as per customer requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements & Skills<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

–Valid Code 14 driver\u2019s license<\/strong> with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Valid Moffett Mounted Forklift Operator Certificate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Proven experience operating a Moffett mounted forklift<\/strong> and handling heavy machinery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong knowledge of road safety, traffic regulations, and logistics best practices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Physically fit and capable of handling heavy lifting and loading\/unloading tasks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Excellent communication and customer service skills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Clear criminal record<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Previous experience in goods delivery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Matric \/ Grade 12 qualification<\/strong> is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
