The successful candidate will be responsible for long-distance and short-distance transportation of flowers to various clients and markets, including trips to Cape Town. The role requires maintaining the truck in excellent condition and ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. A high standard of road safety awareness and adherence to road legislation is essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Operate a Code 14 (EC) heavy truck for flower deliveries to different destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Conduct regular checks and maintenance to ensure the truck is in optimal working condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Complete delivery documents and ensure accurate record-keeping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules and requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Follow the designated delivery routes and schedules efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Adhere to safety regulations and road laws at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements and Skills:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Critical Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Valid Code 14 (EC) driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-In-depth knowledge of routes and road legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ability to handle long-distance driving and extended hours on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Passion for truck driving and logistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Experience in the maintenance and upkeep of heavy trucks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Desirable Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Previous experience in truck driving, particularly in agricultural product deliveries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Strong communication and problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-High attention to detail and excellent time management abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Basic Attributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Reliability and integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Physical stamina and good health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Specific Prohibited Aspects:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-No history of drug use or dishonesty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Clean criminal record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Professional conduct and safe driving practices are mandatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work Environment:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This position involves transporting flowers within Gauteng and to destinations as far as Cape Town.
