Overview:<\/strong>
Woodhill College is committed to fostering a collaborative and high-performing team dedicated to excellence in education. We are seeking an experienced and professional Bus Driver to ensure the safe transportation of learners and staff. In addition to driving responsibilities, this role involves supporting general facility maintenance, health and safety procedures, and record keeping. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic educational environment and begin work on 01 March 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learner Transportation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Drive a school transportation vehicle along prescribed routes in accordance with established time schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Safely pick up and discharge students at designated stops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Transport students and teachers on field trips, including planning necessary routes and stops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain order and proper discipline among student passengers, in line with district policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

General Worker Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Assist with general maintenance and facility support, including receiving and addressing maintenance requests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct daily checks to ensure facilities are well-maintained and report any necessary repairs to the facilities manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform minor plumbing or repair tasks as required, and support overall security, access control, and traffic management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Participate in garden maintenance tasks such as upkeep of grass and flower beds, and managing gardening supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health and Safety:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct daily safety and operational inspections of the assigned vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Report any mechanical issues and perform routine vehicle servicing (fueling, tire, and battery checks).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Participate in regular safety drills and attend meetings regarding safety, first aid, and training updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure the vehicle remains clean and in a safe operating condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Record Keeping:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Complete periodic mileage, passenger count, and other required reports accurately and on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
