A prestigious university in Gaborone is seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Manager<\/strong> to join its Information Systems Department<\/strong>. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and team management while ensuring continuous innovation and compliance with institutional goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications & Experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

-Relevant certifications<\/strong> such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, CCNA, CISSP, CEH, CISM<\/strong> are an advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT management<\/strong>, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure<\/strong>, including networking, servers, security protocols, and software applications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

-Lead and manage IT teams effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Oversee IT infrastructure management<\/strong> and network security operations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Implement cybersecurity strategies<\/strong> to protect institutional data and systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Manage IT-related projects<\/strong> and ensure timely completion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Provide IT support and troubleshooting<\/strong> for faculty and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure compliance with security standards<\/strong> and industry regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Promote continuous improvement and innovation<\/strong> in IT processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Oversee budget management<\/strong> for the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
