Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is seeking a Driver\/Messenger<\/strong> to provide efficient and reliable<\/strong> transportation and courier services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection and delivery of mail and parcels<\/strong>, as well as safe and professional transport of SACAA guests<\/strong>. This role requires a responsible and detail-oriented individual<\/strong> who can effectively manage driving and messenger duties while ensuring compliance with road safety regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Messenger Services<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Collect and deliver parcels and documents<\/strong> within SACAA and to external locations as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Sort incoming parcels at SACAA reception and distribute them to the relevant departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Handle outgoing mail, including franked mail for posting<\/strong>, and collect incoming mail from the post office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain accurate records<\/strong> of all outgoing and incoming mail and parcels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driving Services<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Provide timely collection and drop-off<\/strong> services for SACAA guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure a safe and professional driving service<\/strong>, adhering to traffic laws and avoiding penalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Use the SACAA vehicle strictly for official duties<\/strong>, including deliveries and transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Take full responsibility for vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and scheduling regular services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Monitor fuel levels and record daily vehicle logbook entries, including petrol consumption<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

General Duties<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Assist in the collection of staff consumables<\/strong> when required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Support administrative tasks related to courier and transportation duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements & Skills<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Education<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Minimum:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Valid Code 8 Driver\u2019s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ideal:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Post-Matric Qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Advanced Driving Course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experience<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-At least 3 years of experience<\/strong> in a messenger\/driver role<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong understanding of road safety regulations<\/strong> and logistics management<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ability to manage multiple deliveries and transport schedules efficiently<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
