Overview:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Central Bank of Lesotho invites suitably qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the position of Head: Non-Banks Supervision Division<\/strong>. This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing the regulation and supervision of the credit market and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) sector, ensuring a stable and solvent financial environment that serves the public effectively. The incumbent will also be instrumental in leading the development and enhancement of a robust national credit infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Administrative Functions:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Implement strategic and operational objectives for the Non-Banks Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Enforce compliance with established operational policies and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Lead the division\u2019s Business Continuity Management (BCM) recovery planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Monitor operational risks and advise on control mechanisms to reduce fraud and losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Provide required input for internal and external audits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Oversee the effective use of administrative systems and IT tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Drive business process reengineering for improved service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Represent the Bank in external forums related to the Non-Banks Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technical Functions:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Develop and enhance regulatory and supervisory frameworks for NBFIs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Monitor compliance and enforce relevant laws within the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Participate in national financial inclusion and policy development initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Lead on-site inspections and off-site surveillance of NBFIs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Oversee the licensing and registration of NBFIs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Lead stakeholder engagement and outreach programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Manage the development and maintenance of credit infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Implement and oversee special projects aimed at sector improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-A Master\u2019s degree in Economics<\/strong>, Accounting<\/strong>, Finance<\/strong>, or a related field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-A minimum of seven (7) years\u2019 experience<\/strong> in a financial sector regulatory environment, with at least three (3) years<\/strong> at a managerial level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
