Purpose of the Position:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Scott Hospital is seeking a qualified and compassionate Registered Nurse Midwife<\/strong> to provide comprehensive healthcare services to mothers and newborns. The role involves delivering physical, emotional, and mental care during the perinatal period, ensuring the well-being of both mother and child. The successful candidate will also play a key role in health education and collaboration within the clinical team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Deliver high-quality nursing and midwifery care to patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Supervise and support nursing assistants in the ward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct gynecological examinations and monitor patient vitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Educate patients on nutrition, family planning, and general health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Prepare for and assist with childbirth, including cesarean sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Provide postnatal care and support for mothers and newborns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Record patient information accurately and maintain care plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Administer emergency procedures such as CPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Participate in continuous professional development and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Collaborate with the Nursing Officer and ward personnel in planning care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Order and manage medications and ward supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure hygiene standards and safe practices are upheld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Required Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Diploma in General Nursing and Diploma in Midwifery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Registered with the Lesotho Nursing Council (LNC)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Valid LNC practicing license and up-to-date annual subscription.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Active participation in sports is an added advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
