The successful candidate will provide logistical and transport support for the institution, ensuring safe and efficient movement of staff, students, and visitors, while also maintaining vehicle compliance and supporting administrative duties within the Fleet Management Unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Provide transportation and logistics services to the Polytechnic<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ensure vehicles are operated safely and adhere to all traffic laws and institutional policies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain vehicles in a clean, roadworthy, and mechanically sound condition<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Accurately complete vehicle logbooks and track fuel usage and mileage<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Monitor vehicle condition weekly, including checks for oil leaks, tyre condition, accident damage, and maintenance schedules<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Coordinate vehicle servicing and maintain compliance with statutory requirements (licensing, permits)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Keep proper records of vehicle usage and prepare monthly and special reports as required<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Return vehicle keys to management at the end of each workweek<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Undertake official assignments in line with institutional policies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor due to the evolving nature of the institution<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements and Skills<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-COSC \/ LGCSE or equivalent<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Valid <strong>Code C Driver\u2019s Licence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Valid <strong>Public Driving Permit (PDP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Minimum of 5 years&#8217; driving experience, including at least 3 years with Code C vehicles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Defensive Driving Certificate is an added advantage<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Core Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Good communication skills in both <strong>Sesotho and English<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Familiarity with local and regional road networks<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ability to interpret road maps and utilize GPS systems<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">APPLICATION PROCESS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/zentrofly.com\/jobs\/lsjobs\/apply-for-lerotholi-polytechnic-driver\/\">APPLY HERE<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Title: DriverLocation: Lerotholi Polytechnic, Maseru, LesothoClosing Date: 17 April 2025 at 15:00 Overview Lerotholi Polytechnic is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Driver in the Administration Division.
