Khoemacau Copper Mine<\/strong>, in partnership with JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd.<\/strong>, invites suitably qualified and safety-driven individuals to apply for the position of Underground Safety Officer<\/strong>. JCHX is a globally recognised mining contractor with more than 28 years of experience across Asia, Europe, and Africa. With operations in over 40 projects and a commitment to Zero Harm, we are now seeking to strengthen our underground mining safety team at Khoemacau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basic Function of the Position:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Underground Safety Officer will be responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of health and safety programs in the underground mining environment. The role is key to promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct regular safety inspections and audits within the underground mine<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Promote and uphold a workplace culture of safety and Zero Harm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Investigate incidents, near-misses, and participate in risk assessments<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher training sessions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain accurate safety records and documentation in line with statutory requirements<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and internal safety procedures<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Requirements and Competencies:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-A recognized qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience<\/strong> in mining safety, preferably in an underground environment<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and mining safety practices<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ability to train and influence personnel across all levels of the organization<\/p>\n\n\n\n
