The primary objective of this role is to employ learners capable of completing the Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant Course, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical principles and dispensing. This learnership is designed to foster quality on-the-job learning and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sale of Schedule 1 medicines or scheduled substances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with call centre scripts and patient service telephone calls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide information to individuals to promote health.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with scheme authorization of chronic, HIV and AIDS, and oncology medication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report on low\/out-of-stock levels and stock errors to the dispensary manager.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive dispensary stock in accordance with the company&#8217;s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with unpacking, merchandising of stock, and cleaning of dispensary and Over-the-Counter (OTC) shelves, following the guidelines approved by the responsible pharmacist.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any other duties assigned by the Dispensary Manager.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling, and checking of medication, being aware of common dosages and important drug interactions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that all medications are checked for accuracy by a pharmacist and signed by a pharmacist.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow up with patients regarding script tracking reports and appointments as requested by the dispensary manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 with Mathematics (HG) and (Life Science\/Physical Science).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum average of 50% in Grade 12.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Skills and Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Proficiency in English and a second language (Read, write, and speak).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong time management and deadline-driven skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication skills, including listening and customer service focus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problem-solving abilities and a team player.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conflict management skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to lead by example and demonstrate accountability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional conduct, trustworthiness, and honesty.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Competence in computer and numerical skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>How To Apply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0b78297b76a4544dd0307198332add9e\" style=\"color:#ff0000\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/zentrofly.com\/jobs\/apply-for-dis-chem-dispensary-support-learnerships-2024\/\">Click here for application instructions.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location:\u00a0South AfricaClosing date:\u00a014 February 2024 Dis-Chem Pharmacies is offering an exciting opportunity for individuals to join our team as Dispensary Support Learners.
