With a proven track record of successful projects, we continue to grow and seek dedicated professionals to join our team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Position Overview:<\/strong><br>We are currently seeking four diligent and experienced Safety Officers (LDC) to join our team at the Sasol site in Secunda. The Safety Officers will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, implementing safety protocols, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a safe working environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide safety guidance and support to site personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to occupational health and safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SAMTRAC or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry, preferably in a petrochemical or heavy industrial environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certification in First Aid and Fire Safety would be an advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid driver&#8217;s license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Apply:<\/strong><br><strong>Interested candidates should submit their CVs and cover letters via email to Recruitment@mdconstruction.co.za.
