Job Opportunity: Court Judge Secretary (19 positions available)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contract Duration:<\/strong> 3 years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salary Range:<\/strong> R308,154 \u2013 R362,994 per annum (Level 07), with a 37% supplement in lieu of benefits. A performance agreement is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Location:<\/strong> Gauteng Division of the High Court: Pretoria<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Grade 12 or equivalent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-1-3 years of secretarial experience in a legal setting or as an office assistant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Valid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-LLB degree or minimum of 20 modules towards an LLB\/Bcom Law Degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Successful completion of a typing test for shortlisted candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Screen and manage incoming and outgoing calls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Schedule appointments and meetings for the Judge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Prepare and organize court documents, including typing judgments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Manage correspondence and file documents appropriately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Assist visitors with inquiries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Procure necessary stationery for the Judge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Ensure court files are prepared and up-to-date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Verify files from various sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Update registers and templates as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Coordinate with stakeholders for judgment notifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Prepare court rolls and distribute them accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Receive, file, and verify Heads of Arguments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Prepare the Judge\u2019s bench book and ensure all necessary files are present for court proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
