Key duties include inspecting and maintaining the truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Perform pre-use inspections and complete checklists before using the truck.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Address any immediate issues or repairs before driving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Correct or report problems within 24 hours if detected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the checklist is signed off by the Foreman and mechanic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calibrate truck instrumentation monthly or after major repairs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete daily truck performance administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform weekly greasing and truck sign-offs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calibrate the sample required scale daily.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive the truck safely in all conditions to and from the blasting site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure all legal paperwork is in the truck.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervise loading of the truck at silos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet all SHERQ requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive and execute charging instructions from the Blaster.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inspect, measure, and record all holes to ensure correct depth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report out-of-spec holes to the Blaster.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calculate the correct mass of product for each hole and report discrepancies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inspect pumps and settings before starting the pumping process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take and analyze product samples to ensure correct density.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report any issues with product quality or equipment before starting the pumping.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Load holes according to design specs and SHERQ requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take and record product samples as per BME standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete general administrative duties, including loading sheets and pre-use checklists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervise the Truck Assistant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 \/ Matric with Mathematics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EC 1 Licence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dangerous Goods and Passengers permit (DGP).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Code 14 Driver\u2019s License.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3 years of truck driving experience, preferably in a mining environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 years of experience driving heavy-duty vehicles (EC 1).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong numerical skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attention to detail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report-writing abilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>General:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Customer focus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>How To Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/zentrofly.com\/jobs\/apply-for-omnia-code-14-operator-explosives-truck\/\">APPLY<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Carolina, Mpumalanga, South AfricaClosing Date: 2024\/05\/27 OPERATOR (EXPLOSIVES TRUCK)Overview:The Operator (Explosives Truck) is responsible for loading holes with explosive products using a mixer-placer truck, following BME standards.
