This role involves providing exceptional customer service, handling stock, and maintaining store areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Customer Service:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Acknowledge and assist customers, identifying their needs and advising them on products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Address product queries and handle customer complaints promptly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote additional sales and ensure efficient loading of customer purchases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inform customers about additional services such as delivery, bulk deposits, glass cutting, plan reading, credit programs, special orders, trusses, distant ordering, and the VIC Customer Programme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain product knowledge and be present in your designated aisle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Housekeeping:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure aisles are free of obstacles and stock is merchandised promptly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep shelf pricing accurate and complete checklists for canteen and toilet\/shower schedules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Safety (OHSA) Compliance:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adhere to safety regulations, using appropriate safety gear and ensuring the safety of customers and staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure stock is safely merchandised in your area and report any discrepancies to the Store Manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Readiness for Business:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Follow procedures for &#8220;Ready for Business&#8221; and &#8220;Beyond my Control&#8221; as per company standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Loss Prevention and Security:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify gaps in displays, investigate causes, and report concerns to management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be vigilant about suspicious behavior and report any suspicions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure no product is loaded for a customer without proof of purchase or necessary documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 or at least one year of related work experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in English and the dominant language of the area where the position is available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work under pressure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>How To Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/zentrofly.com\/jobs\/apply-cash-build-general-workers-x11-positions\/\">APPLY<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We look forward to your application and hope to welcome you to our team soon!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location and Closing Date Locations: Tibane, LP; Jozini, KZN; Brakpan; Manguzi, KZN; Nqutu, KZN; Botshabelo, FS; Kokstad, KZN; Idutywa, EC; Mothibistad, NC; Hartswater, NC; Nqanqarhu, EC, South AfricaPositions Available: 11Closing Date: 30 June 2024 Overview We are seeking dedicated General Assistants to join our team across various locations in South Africa.
