Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cementation is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Learner Chargehand Diamond Drilling at Bentley Park near Carletonville. The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Foreman and will undergo on-the-job practical training and theoretical instruction to achieve competency in diamond drilling operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Manage a team of general workers to perform diamond drilling duties safely and efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Complete practical work and theory training at the M&RC Training Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Operate diamond drilling equipment under supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Follow lockout procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Engage effectively with facilitators, coaches, assessors, and site teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform administrative tasks accurately and promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Comply with M&RC\u2019s standards, policies, procedures, and safety protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Identify and mitigate risks proactively, reporting them promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Supervise self and team in alignment with M&RC\u2019s values and leadership initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications and Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Trade Certificate or Team Leader Certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Diamond Drill Operator technical skills Certificate or similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Valid EB Driver\u2019s License (advantageous).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Competent A & B certificates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Proficient in English (written and verbal communication).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Minimum of 3 years as a Team Leader underground with a Team Leader Certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Experience in Diamond Drilling Operations (advantageous with a Trade Certificate).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-In-depth knowledge of diamond drilling operations, equipment, and methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ability to conduct baseline risk assessments and complete issue-based risk assessments independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
