This includes transporting passengers, delivering goods such as mail and parcels, and ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Provide effective and timely driver services for CGS staff, stakeholders, and goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Transport passengers and deliver items using light and medium motor vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Adhere to daily transportation schedules and manage any changes or unforeseen obstacles, consulting with the Manager when necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Communicate schedule changes promptly to stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete all necessary records and logbooks related to vehicle use and item handling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct pre and post-trip inspections to identify and report any vehicle damage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with the delivery and collection of vehicles from maintenance agents and third parties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safeguard vehicles, mail, documents, and parcels against theft, misuse, and loss.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support CGS operational needs outside of regular working hours when requested.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform additional ad hoc duties as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Behavioral Attributes:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong customer orientation and communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problem-solving abilities and a sense of urgency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Capable of working under pressure with good report-writing skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic computer literacy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Education, Knowledge, and Experience:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 10 education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license (Code 10\/C1 with PDP).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum of 6 months of relevant driving experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to read and interpret maps and operate a GPS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of the responsibilities associated with driving and transporting passengers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-base-3-color has-contrast-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-2f23ab8bf45b3c7c6149eb4cd873d9d6\"><strong>HOW TO APPLY:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline is-style-outline--1\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-base-3-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/zentrofly.com\/jobs\/apply-council-for-geoscience-code-10-drivers-x2\/\" style=\"background-color:#ff0000\">APPLY HERE<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Employment Equity:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Council for Geoscience is committed to Employment Equity and diversity.
