This role is crucial in facilitating community engagement, monitoring local development initiatives, and enhancing service delivery at the grassroots level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Community Assessment:<\/strong> Conduct needs and asset analyses through consultations and engagements with local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Monitoring and Reporting:<\/strong> Track and report significant trends in health, social development, and livelihood security within communities, and assess the impact of development projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Data Management:<\/strong> Maintain accurate records of household data, cases referred, and service points visited, in accordance with agreed work plans and performance contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Database Maintenance:<\/strong> Develop and manage a database of all interventions, including referrals, remedial actions, and system improvements aimed at enhancing service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Research and Policy Awareness:<\/strong> Stay informed on relevant policies and legislation, and share this information with community workers and stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Stakeholder Engagement:<\/strong> Establish and maintain networks with government departments, agencies, and community development stakeholders to source and disseminate relevant information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Public Participation:<\/strong> Participate in planned public participation initiatives and activate local communities to engage in democratic processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community Development:<\/strong> Apply the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach to encourage community-led development, and support existing local projects and programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reporting:<\/strong> Provide progress reports on socio-economic activities, report any irregularities, and ensure timely dissemination of information to communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong> Matric or an NQF level 4 qualification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong> At least 1 year of experience in Community Development Work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Skills and Competencies:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Knowledge of community dynamics, mobilisation, and public participation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of ward boundaries and stakeholder management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with government regulations, including Batho Pele Principles, Community-Based Planning, and active citizenry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in computer usage and report writing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to facilitate and monitor community development initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public relations and teamwork skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> Must reside in the ward where the vacancy is listed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Additional Advantage:<\/strong> A valid driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application
