This role is integral to ensuring the safe transportation of learners and supporting the general maintenance of our facilities. If you have a passion for contributing to the smooth operation of an educational environment and have the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Learner Transportation<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>-Operate a school bus on designated routes, adhering to scheduled times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Safely pick up and drop off students at predetermined stops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Transport students and staff on field trips, planning routes and stops as necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ensure student passengers maintain proper conduct and follow school policies during transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>General Maintenance and Support<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Perform routine maintenance tasks and support the upkeep of school facilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respond to maintenance requests and report any issues to the facilities manager.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct daily facility checks and address any necessary repairs (e.g., plumbing, minor repairs).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with security, access control, and traffic management within the school grounds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain the school\u2019s gardens, ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of lawns and flower beds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Health and Safety<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report any mechanical issues and ensure the vehicle is fueled and maintained.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in safety drills and adhere to health and safety regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle to ensure safe transportation conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Record Keeping<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain accurate logs, including mileage, passenger counts, and fuel usage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit required reports to management on time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong> Matric certificate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>License:<\/strong> Valid Code 10 driver\u2019s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong> Minimum of 5 years&#8217;
