We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Laboratory Operator to join our Plant &amp; Logistics Laboratory division, reporting to the Laboratory Analyst or a designated nominee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Collect, prepare, and test samples in support of plant optimization and product quality assurance to meet customer requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Accurately gather samples from various sampling points, including sample cutters, stockpiles, dispatch trucks, and other designated locations, and transport them to the laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Prepare samples for analysis using analytical instruments, following the required turnaround times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Assist the analyst in sample preparation by weighing, fusing, and leeching samples using the necessary analytical tools and techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Perform analyses on samples using analytical equipment, and report results to the supervisor in the prescribed format to help optimize plant control processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify the accuracy of the moisture analyzer, sieve masters, and ovens by following prescribed procedures, recording results, and making recommendations for improvements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct mini-efficiency tests using sieves to ensure product quality and consistency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform pH readings and make necessary adjustments by adding solutions as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 (Standard 10) Certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6 months to 1 year of practical experience working in a metallurgical or sampling laboratory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Additional Information<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Selection will be conducted according to the Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine Recruitment Operating Procedure, with a focus on the candidate\u2019s alignment with the company\u2019s values.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The successful candidate will be appointed in accordance with the mine\u2019s Conditions of Employment, which includes a medical fitness certification as per the Mine Health and Safety Act (No. 29 of 1996).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fulfilling its Employment Equity Plan and Mining Charter objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-base-3-color has-accent-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-560d09dc7732bb0ed8c44201f6b82bf8\"><strong>HOW TO APPLY:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline is-style-outline--1\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-base-3-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/zentrofly.com\/jobs\/apply-dwarsrivier-chrome-mine-senior-laboratory-operator\/\" style=\"background-color:#ff0000\">APPLY<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>No late or unsolicited applications will be considered.
