Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Humana People to People Botswana (HPP Botswana), a registered Non-Governmental Organization established in 2001, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Project Coordinator<\/em> to support forestry conservation and community-based natural resource management initiatives. The position is focused on the establishment and development of the Looloogane Tree Nursery and conservation activities in the Thotayamarula conservation area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HPP Botswana aligns its work with Botswana\u2019s National Vision 2036 and the United Nations\u2019 Sustainable Development Goals, driving community-based solutions in health, education, food security, and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Facilitate the establishment and operationalisation of the Looloogane tree nursery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Promote forest and rangeland development through the production and distribution of tree seeds and seedlings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct public awareness campaigns focused on conservation and sustainable management of forest and range resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Develop and monitor strategies for plant resource conservation within the Thotayamarula Conservation Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct regular inventories of plant populations and their habitats and track ecological changes in the conservation zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Qualifications and Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Advanced\/Higher Diploma in Forestry and Range Ecology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in tree seedling production, rangeland management, or environmental conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Experience in planning, coordinating, and managing conservation or reforestation projects is an added advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong ability to engage with local communities and trusts to ensure inclusive project implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Competence in compiling activity reports and monitoring project outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Deep knowledge of tree seedling production and nursery operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Understanding of agroforestry and environmental conservation practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
