Incumbents will provide front-line grants administration, quality control and customer care at local office level in line with legislative and policy requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Administer Social Grants at local office level and provide customer care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Effectively screen, receive and assess grant applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Capture applications on the system and process supporting documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Perform other grants administration functions as allocated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Conduct quality control on grant applications and ensure compliance with <strong>PFMA Section 57 (Chapter 6, Part 3)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Provide off-site grants application services when required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements &amp; Skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Senior Certificate (Grade 12)<\/strong> plus an <strong>undergraduate qualification (NQF 6)<\/strong> in a relevant field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Computer literacy<\/strong> is essential.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Added advantage:<\/strong> Valid driver\u2019s licence and\/or administrative\/clerical experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong communication, accuracy, customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Remuneration &amp; Benefits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Salary:<\/strong> <strong>R228 321 \u2013 R268 950<\/strong> per annum (exclusive of benefits).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Government benefits as per SASSA policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employment Equity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Preference for these posts will be applied as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Port Nolloth Local Office:<\/strong> African Male, then Coloured Male, then White Male, then Indian Male (at time of appointment).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kakamas Local Office:<\/strong> African Female, then African Male (at time of appointment).<br>All SASSA appointments are subject to compulsory <strong>security vetting<\/strong> and pre-employment screening (qualifications, references, ITC and criminal checks).
