These roles are ideal for customer-focused self-starters. <strong>No experience needed \u2014 full training will be provided.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Serve customers professionally at the <strong>POS<\/strong>: scan items, process payments (cash\/cards\/vouchers\/coupons), issue receipts\/returns\/exchanges per policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain till accuracy and <strong>cash-handling controls<\/strong> (voids\/price changes with approval; drop-safe usage; password security).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Promote loyalty participation (Dis-Chem &amp; partners) and advise customers on <strong>current promotions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Keep the checkout area tidy; support basic <strong>merchandising\/housekeeping<\/strong> to store standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Follow <strong>security, fraud-prevention, and H&amp;S<\/strong> procedures; report suspicious activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Handle product queries and escalate service issues to the Frontline Supervisor\/Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements &amp; Skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Grade 12 \/ Matric<\/strong> (preferred).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>No prior cashier experience required \u2014 training provided.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Basic computer and numeracy skills; strong command of English (an additional local language is advantageous).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Accuracy, attention to detail, honesty, and good people skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Willing and able to work <strong>retail hours<\/strong>, weekends and public holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Reliable transport and\/or reside near the store;
