We invite an experienced and registered <strong>Clinical Nurse (Professional Nurse)<\/strong> to deliver individualised, holistic, person-centred care, coordinate multi-disciplinary case management, and uphold evidence-based practice within our acute hospital environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Patient Care &amp; Advocacy<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Serve as a clinical resource to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicate proactively with patients, families and the care team; act as a patient advocate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct and document rounds with attending medical practitioners; develop and review nursing care plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Advanced &amp; Emergency Nursing<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide specialised nursing care per unit SOPs, nursing theory and medical direction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Initiate, direct and maintain emergency treatment (RESUS) within scope of practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coordination &amp; Communication<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure seamless communication between nursing management and the unit to pre-empt and resolve care issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare accurate day\/night shift documentation (patient status, ratios, issues).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Quality, Safety &amp; Risk<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain a safe, clean and secure clinical environment for patients, staff and visitors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor safe utilisation of equipment and supplies; report hazards and incidents promptly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Policy, Training &amp; Development<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contribute to the development of patient-care policies and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with Clinical Facilitation on orientation, in-service training, mentoring and competency reviews.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep current with Netcare policies, clinical standards and technologies (e.g., <strong>CareOn<\/strong> e-records, e-scripts, clinical orders, stock management).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Resource Allocation &amp; Teamwork<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Allocate\/adjust staffing according to acuity and skills mix to ensure optimal care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate effectively with all departments to provide integrated support services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements &amp; Skills<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Professional Registration:<\/strong> Registered as a <strong>Professional Nurse<\/strong> with the <strong>South African Nursing Council (SANC)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Knowledge:<\/strong> Thorough knowledge of general and\/or specialised nursing theory and practice; strong grasp of contemporary nursing principles, risk, quality and patient safety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Competencies:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clinical decision-making, holistic assessment and care planning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergency care proficiency within scope (including RESUS).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear, compassionate communication and documentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team leadership, collaboration and patient advocacy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with digital health tools and electronic clinical workflows (advantageous).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Personal Attributes:<\/strong> Professional, ethical, accountable;
