Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Limpopo Department of Health<\/strong> is recruiting 26 General Workers \/ Labourers<\/strong> across hospitals and district offices in all regions of the province. Successful candidates will perform cleaning, portering, laundry, and general maintenance tasks that contribute to a safe and clean hospital environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A) General Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Load and offload materials and supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Assist Artisans and Tradesmen Aides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Keep tools safe, clean, and well-organized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain hospital grounds and buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

B) Porter Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Transport patients using stretchers or wheelchairs to and from wards or other departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Carry patients and move corpses to the mortuary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Clean and maintain stretchers and wheelchairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C) Laundry Aid Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Record all incoming and outgoing linen daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Receive, clean, and dispatch soiled and clean linen as per infection control standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Operate and maintain laundry machinery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D) Cleaner Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform cleaning services in offices, wards, passages, and ablution facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Empty dustbins and pick up waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Keep cleaning materials safe and in good condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
