Successful candidates will maintain gardens, grounds and external facilities to a clean, safe and presentable standard, supporting parades\/events and applying <strong>OHS<\/strong> measures at all times. <strong>Minimum ABET<\/strong> and <strong>no experience required<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Grounds maintenance:<\/strong> mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching, fertilising, watering and plant health monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Garden development:<\/strong> soil preparation; planting trees, shrubs and flowers; removal of alien vegetation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Upkeep of external areas:<\/strong> sidewalks, parking lots, fences, planters, benches, fountains and parade grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Equipment care:<\/strong> safe operation and basic care of mowers, trimmers\/brush cutters, blowers, chainsaws, pole pruners and hand tools; report defects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Waste management &amp; hygiene:<\/strong> daily refuse removal; maintain neatness and cleanliness; support event\/ parade preparations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Safety:<\/strong> apply <strong>OHS<\/strong> measures and safe work practices at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements &amp; Skills<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Minimum:<\/strong> <strong>ABET<\/strong> (Grade 9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Experience:<\/strong> <strong>Not required<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Know-how\/Attributes:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Basic English verbal communication; basic numeracy &amp; literacy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of health &amp; safety and safe tool\/equipment handling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physical ability to move materials\/equipment and perform manual tasks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gardening basics and use of grounds\/cleaning machinery (training provided).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teamwork and ability to work independently;
