    Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Department of Defence is recruiting 9 Secretaries<\/strong> to provide professional secretarial, clerical and administrative support to senior leadership structures across Air Defence Artillery Formation HQ<\/strong>, SA Army Headquarters Unit<\/strong>, and ASB Bloemfontein<\/strong>. These are service-driven roles requiring strong organisation, impeccable discretion, and excellent communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n\n\n\n

    Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    –Front-office & Calls:<\/strong> Receive, screen and route calls; take and relay messages; welcome and assist visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    –Meetings & Events:<\/strong> Arrange venues, schedules, invitations, refreshments; take\/prepare basic minutes<\/strong>; coordinate board\/section meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    –Travel & S&T:<\/strong> Coordinate travel and logistics; prepare and submit subsistence & travel (S&T) claims\/advances<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    –Documents & Filing:<\/strong> Type and format letters, memos, reports; handle classified<\/strong> files where applicable; manage incoming\/outgoing documents; maintain effective filing systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    –Office Operations:<\/strong> Operate office equipment (fax\/scanner\/printer\/copier); manage stationery and refreshments procurement; maintain diaries\/calendars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    –Directorate\/Unit Support:<\/strong> Provide day-to-day secretarial support to Directors\/Chief Directorates\/Commanding Officers; compile routine correspondence; remain abreast of DOD procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n\n\n\n

    Minimum Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    –Grade 12 \/ NQF Level 4<\/strong> (or equivalent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    –Secretarial\/Administration experience<\/strong> is an added advantage<\/strong> (essential at ADA FMN HQ to have relevant admin\/secretarial exposure; appropriate academic qualifications advantageous).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    –Computer literacy:<\/strong> MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Lotus Notes\/Outlook where applicable).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    –Typing skills<\/strong> and proven ability to operate office equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    –Communication:<\/strong> Excellent English (written & verbal), strong telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    –Professionalism & Reliability:<\/strong> High levels of discretion, tact, organisation, accuracy and attention to detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    –Clearance:<\/strong> Ability to obtain the required Security\/Confidential Clearance within 12 months<\/strong> (applicable to ADA FMN HQ & SA Army HQ posts).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Nice to have:<\/strong> Analytical, innovative and problem-solving ability; ability to prioritise under pressure; creativity and initiative; ability to search\/analyse documents and situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
