Finance<br><strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SPAR Group<\/strong> is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented <strong>Accounts Receivable Controller<\/strong> to join its dynamic finance team in <strong>Johannesburg<\/strong>.<br>The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the <strong>debtors\u2019 book<\/strong>, ensuring the accuracy of customer accounts, minimising overdue balances, and producing insightful financial reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, leadership capability, and hands-on experience in <strong>credit control and account reconciliation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Debtors &amp; Credit Control Management<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Reconcile customer accounts and monitor overdue balances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Collect outstanding monies on <strong>problematic or high-risk accounts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Liaise with <strong>store and distribution centre (DC) accounts staff<\/strong> to resolve queries and claims promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ensure all <strong>journals and adjustments<\/strong> are processed accurately and timeously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain professional relationships with retailers to support positive account management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cash &amp; Payment Control<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Allocate all <strong>direct payments<\/strong> received and balance them against daily banking records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Prepare accurate and timely <strong>cash forecasts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Monitor and report on overdue accounts and pending claims weekly and monthly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Staff Supervision &amp; Development<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Lead, train, and supervise<\/strong> Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Manage performance and provide support to ensure efficiency and accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting &amp; Analysis<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Produce <strong>weekly and monthly AR reports<\/strong> and ageing analyses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Perform <strong>financial and account analysis<\/strong> for management review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Resolve account discrepancies and claims through the <strong>Gateway Portal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Conduct <strong>account reviews and reassessments<\/strong> in line with credit policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Matric (Grade 12)<\/strong> \u2013 essential<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Degree or tertiary qualification<\/strong> in Accounting, Finance, or related field \u2013 required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>3\u20135 years\u2019 experience<\/strong> in a similar Accounts Receivable or Debtors Control role<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advanced <strong>computer literacy<\/strong> (MS Excel &amp; MS Word essential)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SAP experience required<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong <strong>financial accounting and analytical<\/strong> background<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Skills &amp;
