Bookkeeping<br><strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SPAR Group South Rand Distribution Centre (SRDC)<\/strong> is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced <strong>Bookkeeper<\/strong> to join the Finance team based in <strong>Jet Park, Johannesburg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The successful candidate will ensure that all <strong>financial data and transactions are accurately captured, reconciled, and reported<\/strong> to produce quality trial balances and reliable financial statements for the distribution centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Financial Control &amp; Reporting<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Perform <strong>daily bank account reconciliations<\/strong> and verify all cash-ups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Reconcile <strong>Dropshipment and DC Warehouse Supplier accounts<\/strong> weekly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Prepare, review, and maintain <strong>general ledger accounts<\/strong> to ensure accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Monitor and <strong>report on daily sales figures<\/strong>, identifying discrepancies promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Complete all <strong>balance sheet reconciliations<\/strong> accurately and on time for month-end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accounting Processes &amp; Compliance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Capture, post, and review <strong>journal entries<\/strong> in accordance with accounting standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain the <strong>fixed asset register<\/strong> and assist in asset verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Manage and control <strong>document management systems<\/strong> to ensure compliance and accessibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Assist in <strong>month-end closing activities<\/strong> and preparation of financial reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Team Support &amp; Supervision<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Supervise and support the <strong>store admin team<\/strong> to ensure smooth daily operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Provide guidance on accounting practices, controls, and reconciliation procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Support the <strong>Finance Manager<\/strong> on ad hoc financial projects and audits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Matric (Grade 12)<\/strong> with <strong>Mathematics and\/or Accounting<\/strong> \u2013 essential<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tertiary qualification<\/strong> in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping (or currently studying toward it)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum <strong>3 years\u2019 experience<\/strong> in a <strong>bookkeeping or accounting role<\/strong> within the <strong>FMCG or retail environment<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong background in <strong>financial reconciliations, general ledger management, and reporting<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Skills &amp;
