Overview:<\/strong>
Mukuru is looking for dynamic and customer-focused individuals to join its team as Booth Tellers<\/strong> in Gaborone. In this role, you will be the trusted face of the brand\u2014ensuring accurate, secure, and friendly service to customers who rely on Mukuru for safe money remittance solutions. If you are passionate about service, good with numbers, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be your opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Transaction Processing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) checks on all transactions for compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Accurately verify currency authenticity and count cash precisely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Cancel outbound orders that fail to meet regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Monitor and comply with transaction limits as per central bank regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Customer Service<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Assist customers in completing forms and understanding Mukuru services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Promote Mukuru products to new and existing customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Offer guidance and ensure a high standard of service at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Compliance & Security<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Report suspicious activity to the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Assist with Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) documentation when required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Secure cash, PINs, and booth devices daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain visitor logs and verify identification for all guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Operational Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform accurate daily cash reconciliations (cash-ups).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain a clean, organized, and secure booth workspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure all security checks are completed before booth operations begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Education:<\/strong> BGCSE \/ Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education \u2013 Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Experience:<\/strong> At least 1 year of experience in a financial services or cash-handling environment \u2013 Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skills and Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong understanding of foreign currencies, FICA regulations, and digital transaction systems<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Excellent numeracy and cash-handling accuracy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-High level of professionalism and customer service<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Good interpersonal and communication skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn and adapt<\/p>\n\n\n\n
