Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sasol is seeking a reliable and safety-focused General Worker Gr 1 R&T to join the Research & Technology team in Sasolburg. The role provides logistical support through equipment preparation, loading and offloading assistance, and maintaining high housekeeping standards across plant areas. The successful candidate will operate under direct supervision while adhering to strict safety and operational protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Assist with preparation of equipment for loading and unloading of products and chemicals.
\u2013 Maintain cleanliness of plant areas, benches, floors, PPE and glassware as per routine schedules.
\u2013 Safely handle, store, stack and transport chemicals, gas cylinders and materials.
\u2013 Participate in safety practices, including PPE use, inspections, emergency preparedness, and IMS\/BAPP observations.
\u2013 Load and offload vehicles and ensure neatness of assigned areas.
\u2013 Support discipline-specific tasks and deliver messages or parcels when required.
\u2013 Use hand tools and equipment safely and correctly; perform ad hoc duties as instructed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
\u2013 Minimum 1 year relevant working experience.
\u2013 Code EC1 driving licence (essential).
\u2013 Forklift licence (advantageous).
\u2013 Ability to follow safety procedures and operational instructions.
\u2013 Strong attention to detail, task planning ability, and effective communication skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
