The ideal candidate will ensure the <strong>safe, accurate, and timely<\/strong> collection and delivery of cargo while upholding Swift\u2019s service standards and professional brand image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This role is essential to maintaining smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional service to our clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Daily Collection &amp; Delivery<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Collect and deliver cargo to warehouses, depots, airline terminals, and client sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Complete PODs, manifests, waybills, and all documentation accurately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Verify cargo counts, seals, and condition during each handover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Report route delays, risks, or delivery challenges immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Vehicle Operation &amp; Maintenance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Conduct daily <strong>pre-trip<\/strong> and <strong>post-trip<\/strong> inspections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure roadworthiness at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Report defects, maintenance needs, and service intervals to the Transport Controller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Follow Swift policies on fuel usage, idling, safety, and vehicle security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Safety &amp; Compliance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Operate in line with Swift <strong>HSSE guidelines<\/strong>, <strong>ISO 45001<\/strong>, and SA road regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Adhere to safety procedures at all client and warehouse sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Handle fragile, high-value, or hazardous cargo within licence limitations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Wear full PPE where required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Client Service &amp; Professional Conduct<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Deliver exceptional customer service during all interactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and problem-solving ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Escalate any client concerns, discrepancies, or unusual cargo issues promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5.
