Sasol Mining is recruiting General Workers for a 4-month Upskilling Programme aimed at developing operational capability within mining environments. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who meet the minimum education requirements and are eager to grow their technical and safety-related skills in a world-class mining organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Operate mining-related machinery and equipment within defined parameters to minimise waste and optimise production.
\u2013 Apply and maintain safety standards in the working environment at all times.
\u2013 Perform daily tasks according to operational planning and instructions.
\u2013 Participate in morning meetings to discuss work assignments and progress.
\u2013 Provide accurate feedback to supervisors and customers regarding work status.
\u2013 Maintain good housekeeping and follow waste disposal procedures.
\u2013 Identify equipment faults using correct diagnostic methods to support equipment availability.
\u2013 Attend training sessions and courses as per the training matrix to improve competencies.
\u2013 Identify personal development needs and include them in the Personal Development Plan (PDP).
\u2013 Support business objectives by meeting deadlines and contributing to plant reliability.
\u2013 Conduct plant inspections, repairs, and My IMS inspections to improve sustainability and safety.
\u2013 Capture accurate equipment history to support future renewals, upgrades, and critical spares planning.
\u2013 Participate actively in toolbox talks, PDAs, and RCAs to improve plant safety and performance.
\u2013 Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within own work area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Completed Matric \/ Grade 12 \/ N3 or equivalent<\/strong>.
\u2013 Mining underground experience (advantageous but not mandatory).
\u2013 Ability to work safely and follow strict operational standards.
\u2013 Physically fit to perform duties within a mining environment.
\u2013 Willingness to learn and participate in structured upskilling activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
