The role is focused on process optimisation, cost reduction, and technical support within a dynamic mining environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing small-scale projects while ensuring technical excellence and operational integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>-Supervise activities that enhance metallurgical efficiency in the processing plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly metallurgical accounting reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Develop and coordinate test work programmes; implement findings to improve plant performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Monitor and optimise the use of reagents and consumables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Compile, analyse, and interpret statistical data for reporting and metal accounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Conduct routine inspections and schedule audits of the process plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions when necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ensure quality control for crushing, milling, and flotation to meet recovery targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements and Skills:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>-Bachelor\u2019s degree in Minerals Processing Engineering, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Minimum 4 years of mining industry experience in a concentrator plant, including 2 years at Graduate Metallurgist level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Practical experience in metallurgical accounting and lab operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Proven experience in base metal processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Strong background in metallurgical analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Solid analytical and statistical abilities to identify improvement opportunities and monitor quality trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Submit your application with a detailed CV and certified copies of qualifications to:<br><strong>Email: <a>kcmrecruitment@mmg.com<\/a><\/strong><br>Use <strong>\u201cMetallurgist Application\u201d<\/strong> as the subject line of your email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
