This role focuses on enforcing security policies, preventing shrinkage, monitoring store activities, and supporting overall store operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Purpose of the Role<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To protect employees, customers, and company property by enforcing security procedures, mitigating risks, and ensuring a safe environment in the store at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>-Security qualification (Grade C).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Registered with PSIRA\/SOB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Minimum <strong>2 years of Retail Industry security experience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Must have <strong>own reliable transport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Able to work <strong>flexible hours and shifts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>-Enforce company security procedures to reduce shrinkage and prevent losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Monitor store activities and respond to security risks appropriately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Safeguard all company property and assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Manage emergency procedures and ensure compliance from all employees and customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Identify potential risks and report concerns to management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Liaise with senior store management, external security teams, and SAPS when required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Assist during alarm call-outs when necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain a visible security presence and act as a deterrent to suspicious behaviour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Perform routine security checks and ensure operational readiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Competencies &amp; Skills<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>High accuracy and attention to detail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assertive, confident, and fair when enforcing rules.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calm under pressure; able to handle stressful or difficult situations professionally.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills when engaging customers and staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong leadership ability and sound judgment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reliable, committed, and compliant with company policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physically capable of standing for long hours and performing routine patrol duties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why Join Pick n Pay?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll work in a company where people truly believe in what they are doing.
