The successful candidates will be responsible for access control, safeguarding personnel and assets, and ensuring compliance with all security prescripts within SAPS facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job Opportunity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Role:<\/strong> Security Officer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Remuneration Level:<\/strong> R 163 680 per annum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Citizenship:<\/strong> South African citizens only<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vetting:<\/strong> Mandatory (security screening, fingerprint verification, integrity assessments)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Core Functions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Execute access control in line with the Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act (Act 53 of 1985)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Positively identify employees, visitors, contractors, and maintenance personnel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Register, search (electronically where applicable), and issue admission control cards<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Maintain accurate visitor registers and control entry\/exit of people, vehicles, and equipment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Confirm visits with hosts and ensure escorting as per prescripts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Inspect suppliers, articles, and objects entering premises to prevent security threats<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Guard vehicles and equipment in the field<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Patrol buildings and fenced-off areas<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Supervise cleaners and maintenance personnel from a security perspective only<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Check security equipment and facilities and take corrective action when required<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Report security deficiencies or incidents to senior security personnel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Assist other security officers in the execution of duties<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements &amp; Skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum <strong>Grade 10 (Standard 8)<\/strong> \/ Basic Education and Training (NQF Level 3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in <strong>at least two official languages<\/strong> (English compulsory)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid <strong>PSIRA registration<\/strong> with <strong>Grade C security certificate or higher<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not declared unfit to possess a firearm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to undergo and maintain firearm competency training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and extended hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No criminal record or pending cases<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer literacy and strong interpersonal skills (advantage)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Degree\/Diploma in Security Services, relevant courses, and a valid driver\u2019s licence (advantage)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Locations &amp;
