As an authoritative voice in weather and climate services, SAWS provides innovative solutions that support sustainable development and economic growth in South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job Summary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>General Worker<\/strong> will assist artisans and perform basic maintenance duties at the regional office and remote weather observation sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Performance Areas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist with installation and inspection of remote observation sites.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Repair structures housing meteorological equipment (masts, stands, stays).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform terrain maintenance (weeding, mowing, litter removal).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean indoor facilities, including restrooms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct basic building maintenance tasks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor and report on asset usage (Asset Verification).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support fleet management and stock control for maintenance activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure compliance with Occupational Health &amp;
