The RAF\u2019s mission is to provide timely and equitable assistance to individuals affected by motor vehicle accidents, ensuring financial relief and recovery for qualifying beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Driver\/Messenger will be responsible for the safe transportation of people, documents, goods, and equipment, while ensuring compliance with national road safety regulations. The role also includes administrative support, records management, mail handling, and maintaining vehicle and equipment standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Messenger Services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collect and deliver correspondence from government institutions and other stakeholders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify collected documents against lists and obtain acknowledgement of receipt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deliver packages and messages timeously and handle documents with care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reconcile deliveries and obtain necessary signatures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain communication between departure and destination points<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Record daily visits in the logbook<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan efficient delivery routes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure documents are delivered in line with Standard Operating Procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Administration &amp; Records Management<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monitor availability of messenger services for deliveries to financial institutions and government departments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure proper archiving of scanned files in line with the National Archives Act and RAF Records Management strategies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sort, classify, and file documents according to established policies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare and manage transfer of inactive records to offsite storage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain record inventories and retention schedules<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete destruction logs and disposition registers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor effective operation of postal services within the branch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure timely copying and document binding services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transport &amp; Operations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Load and unload goods and materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transport staff, materials, and products securely<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify mechanical or electrical faults and report to Facilities Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vehicle &amp; Equipment Maintenance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure vehicle roadworthiness at all times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain copying and binding machines in working condition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reporting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or equipment loss<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain accurate logbooks in line with Fleet Management Policy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report unexpected delays<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report on maintenance of the franking machine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Escalate major equipment faults to the supervisor immediately<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mail Processing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Receive, register, and stamp incoming and outgoing correspondence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sort documents and faxes according to destination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare outgoing mail for posting and bulk distribution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Record registered mail and Docex Tracker mail details<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Declare and register monies received<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure correct mail distribution to Docex and Post Office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Matric \/ Grade 12 Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid Code 10 (EC1\/EC) driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional Driver\u2019s Permit (PDP)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 1 year experience in a driving or messenger services environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical &amp;
