This is a unique opportunity to join the City&#8217;s law enforcement team and undergo training to become a qualified metro police officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job Purpose<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To equip candidates with the necessary skills, discipline, and training to uphold and enforce municipal by-laws, prevent crime, and apply the National Road Traffic Act within the City of Tshwane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Primary Functions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful candidates will serve as functional metro police officials performing one or more of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Traffic policing<\/strong> in accordance with road traffic legislation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Policing of municipal by-laws and regulations<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Crime prevention duties<\/strong> across various city regions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Grade 12 (Matric) certificate (documentary proof required)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Valid driver\u2019s license for manual transmission vehicles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Must pass a departmental driving test<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-No criminal record or pending criminal cases (fingerprints will be taken)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Must not appear on the register of sexual or child offenders<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Must not have been dismissed from government employment due to misconduct<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Must be a <strong>South African citizen<\/strong> and resident of the <strong>City of Tshwane<\/strong> (proof of residence and affidavit required)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Age: <strong>18 to 35 years<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Medically fit and able to do strenuous physical activity (medical certificate required)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Pass physical fitness and psychometric assessments<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Proficiency in English (assessment required)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Must not be declared incompetent to possess a firearm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-No visible tattoos while wearing uniform<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Willingness to sign the TMPD Code of Conduct<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Personal Attributes &amp;
