Hosted by the Next Generation Enterprises and Institutions cluster, this internship is designed to provide recent graduates with hands-on experience in research, data science, and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interns will contribute to impactful data-driven projects under the guidance of experienced researchers and engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Support DIRISA projects by identifying user needs, collecting and analyzing data, interpreting results, and presenting visual insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Apply machine learning, data mining, and statistical algorithms to help solve real-world challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Assist with software development for DIRISA\u2019s data-focused initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Participate in DIRISA outreach programmes such as the Student Datathon Challenge and Coding School through challenge design, training, and content updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Attend technical and on-the-job training sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Contribute to knowledge development by engaging in conferences, symposiums, and related events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements and Skills<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Bachelor\u2019s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Honours degree and certifications in Data Science will be advantageous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Participation in the DIRISA Student Datathon Challenge is an added advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Technical Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Understanding of the data science lifecycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, scripting, and Linux OS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Exposure to software development and web frameworks for prototyping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Effective verbal and written communication skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in
