This role focuses on retail loss prevention, asset protection and maintaining a safe shopping environment for customers and employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The successful candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day store security operations while strictly adhering to company security policies and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose of the Role<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To provide efficient and professional security services in line with Pick n Pay policies in order to prevent shrinkage and losses, while maintaining a courteous and safe retail environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 (Matric)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Security qualification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 2 years\u2019 retail security experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registered with SIRA\/SOB (Grade C registration required)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Own reliable transport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be contactable at all times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willing to work flexible hours and shifts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>-Perform all security duties according to Pick n Pay policies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Safeguard company assets and prevent stock losses<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Monitor the store environment and remain vigilant at all times<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Identify potential security risks and take appropriate action<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ensure compliance with security procedures by staff and customers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Follow correct emergency procedures when required<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Assist with alarm call-outs if necessary<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Liaise with senior management, external security providers and SAPS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Evaluate security systems and recommend improvements<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Handle challenging customers professionally and calmly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain high visibility and alertness on the sales floor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Competencies &amp;
