The successful candidate will ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all areas of the store, including the sales floor, back office, dispensary, and staff areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the store before opening and during operational hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean and restock restrooms and staff canteen regularly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use appropriate cleaning materials and equipment for different areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place wet floor signage clearly during cleaning to avoid hazards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain professional behavior and assist customers when required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and company procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 \/ Matric<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least 6 months of cleaning experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to communicate in English (oral and written)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willing and able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physically fit for tasks such as bending, lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No criminal or credit record<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be a South African citizen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Preferred Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Previous retail store cleaning experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to speak an additional language relevant to the area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic customer service skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trustworthy, punctual, and attentive to detail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Remuneration &amp; Benefits<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Market-related salary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medical aid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provident fund<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Staff discount account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Employment Equity<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dis-Chem is an equal opportunity employer committed to its Employment Equity and Transformation Strategy.
