These roles focus on hands-on technical maintenance across park facilities, supporting safe, clean, and well-maintained environments for staff and visitors. Successful candidates must provide their own reliable transport and accommodation and may be required to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Perform general electrical maintenance and repairs on building equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Replace and repair wires, switches, fixtures, motors, pumps, and boilers; assist Handyman with daily tasks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carry out semi-skilled building tasks (tiling, painting, plumbing, small carpentry) to set quality and productivity standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Execute trade-related repairs and maintenance to buildings and structures (tourist, staff, admin, and technical facilities).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with fleet management and related administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct routine maintenance across facilities, including ablutions and civil\/building areas (new and existing).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete daily stock control, report anomalies, and keep accurate records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas, technical stores, and equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide daily services throughout the park to ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform other ad-hoc duties as required by Supervisor\/Management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements &amp; Skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 \/ NQF Level 4 (Standard 10).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid Code 10 driver\u2019s licence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least 1 year relevant experience in a technical\/maintenance environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills; basic administrative knowledge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safety-conscious with knowledge of safe work practices and familiarity with OHS regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer literacy is an advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No criminal record \u2013 valid SAPS Clearance Certificate required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays as operationally required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Own reliable transport and accommodation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to undergo a fitness assessment during selection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Employment Equity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SANParks is committed to Employment Equity.
